How to Recover Files after System Restore with Ease

Have you ever performed system restore option when the computer dead or suffered virus attack, and most importantly you forgot or do not have chance to make a copy of those really significant files? And wondered if there is any way to recover files after system restore.

As matter of fact, system restore option (no matter you restore to a previous date or use a Windows recovery CD etc) won’t be necessary to erase all the data immediately whatever you are running computer with Windows or Mac OS X. The data contained in the files are still 100% intact there in the hard drive (or Macintosh HD) until they are overwritten. It means if you continue to save more data to the hard drive, the old data then will be highly possible to be occupied. Once overwritten, you can say the files are deleted permanently. As a result it is clear that if you want to maximize chances of file recovery after system restore, it is highly recommended NOT to add any activity to that drive (usually Drive C:).

How to Perform Data Recovery after System Restore

The MOST effective way to achieve the goal is by relying on a third-party file recovery program. Software uses advanced algorithms to deep scan the drive to look for those un-overwritten data. Once found, the files are easily to be recovered then.

If you are using a computer running Windows (Windows XP, windows Vista or Windows 7 etc), please try Data Recovery Tool.

For those Mac (10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard or 10.7 Lion) users, turn to Data Recovery Software for Mac.

The recovery process is quite simple. Just install the program on your computer which accidentally performed a system recovery. Then choose the drive (usually Drive C: or Macintosh HD) and start to scan. Then there will be a lot of files such as documents, photos, videos or music etc found and certainly recoverable.

But you should note: When you mistakenly performed system restore, DO NOT put more files or edit data in the source drive in case overwritten happens. When you are using the file recovery program to perform recovery, DO NOT save recovered files to the source drive either. All those precautions will definitely be helpful for you to recover files after a system restore. You’d better bear these tips in mind.
